| The Quality Manager is responsible for Managing, planning and coordinating the company's quality control program to ensure continuous production & service, consistent with established standards. This includes managing the quality laboratory activities & staff as well as functioning within product development; and analyses of statistical data & specifications to determine present standards and establish quality & reliability expectations; incuding participation in the development of new or improvement of existing products.
The QC manager also is a determining factor regarding specifications of intermediate products, inprocess materials, including packaging & co-packed products. Handles Market response to complaints & investigates root causes of quality issues to assure effective action is taken.
Able to work at all levels within the organization. Requires a College Degree in Food or Dairy Sciences & a minimum 5 years experience in Dairy and Juices plus 5 years managerial experience with a working knowledge and understanding of the legislative requirements having an impact on the area of responsibility (e.g. SASO, Gulf Standards, ISO, Health Legislation, Codex Alimentarius, Environmental Legislation, GMP, HACCP, etc.)
